Dear Distinguished Speakers, Exhibitors, Sponsors, Delegates, Colleagues and Advisees:

I regret to inform you with heavy heart that due to difficulties of the current flood calamity in Bangkok, we finally decided to postpone the dates of the Symposium to June 20 and 21, 2012. Although we already received more than 40 camera-ready papers and we can move the venue to Pattaya Resort, however there are flooded roads and homes, in most parts of Bangkok.  Although the flood waters will be drained out in 3 to 4 weeks time, full recovery will take up to 6 months. It is not conducive to hold the Symposium and celebrate my retirement at the time of sadness and loss of lives and properties. The Thai people are used to annual floods but not to the present overwhelming volume of water called the 50 year flood. Consequently, most factories, homes and universities are flooded in outer Bangkok.

Thus, it is prudent at this time to postpone the Symposium to June 20 and 21, 2012. I am greatly sorry for those who already booked their air tickets and accommodations. For those who have paid their registrations and exhibition fees in advance, we will keep proper records so that those payments will be credited for the event in June 2012.

We will do our best to serve and help those who need to claim reimbursements of advance payments.
